Candy Shirey and The Worship Team

Using the Flower Communion as a metaphor for freedom, this reflection will emphasize that true freedom isn’t just external permission, but an internal journey of self-realization and unfolding of our authentic selves. It connects individual growth to the community’s embrace, highlighting how collective support enables this personal blossoming. For this service, you are invited to bring a flower, symbolizing your unique spirit, and to receive a flower, symbolizing the spirit of another.

After church: Stay for our annual picnic in the Shelley Garden. Weather permitting, we’ll set up a potluck lunch under the trees right after worship. Amy Conley will provide music. You are invited to bring ready-to-eat fare to share: appetizers, salads, sandwiches, fruit, dessert. Beverages will be provided. Bring one of your collapsible chairs too!

The theme for the month of June is The Practice of Freedom.
