Playing it Forward (Online)

Rev. Shayna Appel

We are back to our regular service time. Please note the start time of 10:30am.

This will be the first in a year-long series called “Playing It Forward,” featuring the ideas of Unitarian and Universalist ministers who were preaching in the mid 19th century. The sermons are drawn from collections that have sat on the shelves in the ministers office for no-one knows how long! Sunday’s sermon remains in line with our September Soul Matters theme of renewal and is entitled “Stillness of Mind,” from a sermon by Rev. Ephraim Peabody published in 1857. As an interesting side note, the baptismal font located in the narthex* by the front door of UUCM was donated in Rev. Peabody’s memory. Tune in on Sunday morning as we glean wisdom from those who came before us and maybe even locate a little stillness for our own minds!
